Otto Sitterly and Kreig Heroth each picked up dominating wins in action at Oswego Speedway
Saturday night.  Sitterly took the lead from Tim Snyder on a lap 18 restart, and sped away for the
full second win.  Heroth went to the point with a lap 1 pass of Lou Levea Jr, and easily cruised
ahead of Mike Bond for his first win of the season.

Shawn Muldoon and Brian Sobus led the 28 car supermodified field to Bruce Lee’s green flag, with
Muldoon getting a quick jump taking the lead.  Sitterly, Davey Hamilton and Ray Graham went to
the outside to move through race traffic, while Bobby Bond and Joe Gosek went inside.

Graham wheeled his #90 by Muldoon on lap 1 for the lead, bringing Dave Danzer along for the ride
in second.  Lap 2, the red flag flew for a multi car accident off turn four.  Brian Sobus, Stephen
Gioia,  Pat Lavery, DJ Shullick, and Danny Connors were all involved, with Connors night ending
with damage to the 01 car.

Graham led Danzer, Muldoon, Snyder, Bond, Sitterly, Ritskes, Michael Barnes, Davey Hamilton and
Joe Gosek on the take off.  One lap later, Graham’s 90 suddenly slowed and pulled pitside.  A
broken torque arm was the culprit.

Back up front, Danzer and Snyder began to pull away from the field, as they circled the track at a
17.23 clip.  A few laps later, Bond began to chop into the lead, as by lap 8 the lead trio ran nose to
tail. The rest of the top eight began to close in as well, as by lap 11 Danzer, Snyder, Bond, Sitterly,
Ritskes, Gosek, McKnight and Hamilton all had two car lengths between each other.

Danzer continued around the track leading with laps in the 17.4 range.   Sitterly made short work of
Bond’s 25 for third on lap 13.  Two laps later, Snyder was the third leader fourth leader of the race,
as he made an inside front straightaway pass for the lead.  Sitterly followed through, as now the
scoreboard read 0-7-52.

Lap 17, Danzer’s fine run ended as he pulled the #52 pitside with valve train issues, out of the race.
Next lap, caution flew over the speedway again, this time as an oil fire broke out in the engine
compartment of the Rod Sauter 33 car.

Sitterly used this restart to power to the inside of Snyder’s 0 car for the lead on the grandstand
straightaway.  As Sitterly pulled out to a two length lead, Ritskes and Gosek both got by Bond, as
the top five shuffled to look like 7-0-88-00-25.

Sitterly stopped clocks at consistent 17.25 laps, as he looked to put daylight between himself and
his followers.  A Michael Muldoon lap 22 spin again slowed the pace briefly.  As Sitterly resumed
control of the race, Payne went from seventh to fifth in one swoop, as he shot by both Hamilton
and Bond on the get go.

Back up front, Sitterly began putting distance on the field, as his lead built up to over 2 seconds as
he wheeled his way through traffic.  Quite a battle ensued for second as Snyder, Ritskes, Gosek
and Payne diced bumper to bumper for the runner up spot.

Indy 500 veteran Davey Hamilton’s sixth place run ended, as he loped the Nictora #6 in turn four on
lap 41, sending the #6 pitside.  The cars remained in line once racing, with Sitterly pulling out in the
remaining laps.  As the checkered flag flew, the blue #7 crossed under for his second win of the
season, just a second ahead of Snyder, Ritskes, Gosek and Payne.

“These aren’t easy by any stretch,:” the happy winner stated after the victory.  “With a full field, a
top field, and a bunch of good competitors, these wins are tough.  The car was good, and it was a
good race for us.”

Lou Levea Jr caught the green quickly at the start of the SBS race, as 19 machines took to the track
for their A Main Saturday night.  Kreig Heroth came from his third starting spot, to go to the low side
out of turn four on the first lap to take the lead.  A minor spin on lap 2 slowed the field, and saw
Heroth lead Cam Rowe, Levea, Jason Simmons, Mike Bruce, Andrew Schartner, Mike Bond, Dave
Latulip, Mark Castiglia and Barry Kingsley.

As Heroth took off with laps at 19.66 and .56, the field fell in line behind.  Four time race winner Mike
Bond started to pick his way through, as the 26 was back on his way to the front.

Heroth built an over 2 second lead, as consistent laps saw him gain the advantage ahead of Rowe,
Simmons, Bruce and Bond.   A Levea spin on lap 14 erased the advantage, and put the field on the
bumper of the 44 near halfway.

Bruce worked his way into the top three wheeling by Simmons on the take off, bringing Bond
along for the ride.  Suddenly on lap 20, second running Rowe pulled pitside with an ailing 77 car.
Bond kept moving forward, shooting by Bruce on lap 22 for second place, 5.92 seconds ahead of
the high flying 44 of Heroth.

As Heroth circled the track in 19.26, Bond did in 19.32, showing he was not closing the gap.  Jack
Patrick kept his race long charge going, as he finally worked his way into the top three with two
laps to go.  As checkered came out, Heroth picked up his first win of 2011,  5.28 seconds ahead of
Bond and Patrick.

“These things are tough, these cars are so even,” Kreig Heroth said after the victory.  “Sure we had
a good starting spot, but you have to take advantage of that, have a good car, and have the breaks
fall your way.  We’re happy, that’s for sure.”

News and Notes…31 supermodifieds, and 19 SBS cars were pitside.  Joe Gosek, Randy Ritskes,
and Danny Connors, won supermodified heat races while Kreig Heroth, Mike Bond and Cameron
Rowe won SBS heat races.  Dave Shullick Jr won the consolation event.  Shullick, Jeff Holbrook,
and Davey Hamilton all made their first appearance of the year at Oswego.  This week is Race of
Champions week, with racing Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Oswego Speedway.  Times and any
