Native American driver AJ Russell to make NASCAR debut

ALBUQUERQUE, NM. - On Saturday September 24th, Sacred Power Motorsports (SPM) will make
its racing debut in the #73 Dodge RAM at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in the NASCAR
Camping World Truck Series. SPM is the first top level Native American owned NASCAR team that
is featuring a Native American driver. The owner of the team is David Melton from the Pueblo of
Laguna tribe in NM. David also owns Sacred Power Corporation, the largest Native American
owned solar integration company in the US. Clovis California driver A.J. Russell has an impressive
racing resume with experiences in Indy Pro Lights, Supermodifieds and California Asphalt Trucks;
A.J. is also a Cherokee Nation Member in Oklahoma.

The team has been eagerly working toward its racing debut for over a year, with great partners in
Georgia Pacific Professional, Multi-Flow Beverages, Pocket Rocket Water, Phantom EFX, Wrestling
Superstars Live, Southern Pan Services, and Don Rico Beverages. The goal of the team is to get
sponsors products into the 289 Indian Gaming Casinos across the country. Opportunities are still
availability for partners that would like to place their products into casinos. SPM is partnering with
Jennifer Jo Cobb’s team at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
